So, my WiFi cameras are still struggling with really bad artifacts, yet they now have maximum signal strength, both within 2-3meters of an AP. Could this be zoneminder related?
it only occurs when something moves on the camera

fixed mysql issue by reinstall dbd-mysql
ren0v0: can you view the streams direct to check? WIFI is going to be a nightmare really, even if it works now, randomly down the line is likely just to pay up again for some random reason

I still have a problem with zmaudit - deleting everything (I just renamed it so it could record something for a while) run it again manually it does this Deleting event directories with no event id information at 10/18/09/22/19/30/00, deleting
turning off RUN_AUDIT still runs it so renamed the .pl file (and the logs show it trying it often, more often than the 900 interval) and it ignores the minimum age in seconds

MalakymR, yea it does seem random, but I don't believe in that :)
I am trying to find instructions on how to setup email notifications when an event occurs. anyone point me in the right direction?

bfdi533, did you read the wiki?
bfdi533
yes, and I could not find anything specific. Other than this: https://zoneminder.readthedocs.io/en/latest/use..., there is not much on how to make it work. I have set email options but no email is going out. I am sure I am missing something "simple" but what? I am
not sure.

well on the linux system you will probably need to set up the sendmail application
and plug into it the smtp server and account you want to use to send mail.
debian based systems use exim4
thats the default mta i believe...or postfix. Ive always just used exim4 because of the dpkg-reconfigure package ease of setup but there is also a stand alone ..ssmtp i think it is
ic0n: cheers, is this just zmaudit doesnt run when the option isnt? Im having a problem with zmaudit clearing everything when its on an NFS share - just not got around to it (hence blocking zmaudit :p)
ic0n
yes you can just turn it off in options. You don't need to run it.
MalakymR
does run* I meant
One of the hikvision model/series we use has updated and it no longer has 720 option, 1080 min (and the sub stream doesnt go up to 720)
