ic0n: Did compiling via knnniggett's armhf docker work?

ic0n: Well I tried knnniggett's docker to compile storageareas ... nothing... It cloned the github packpack repo and stopped...
merkur2k
i would be happy to share my dockerfile, but its not for armhf...
ic0n
nope

ic0n: Well it appears that compiling with the docker image comes correctly for the ARMv6
s/comes/compiles
ic0n: So if there is a way to get storageareas to compile for it, then I'll happily test any advancements :)
ic0n
I fixed the triggers.sql problem. I don't know when I will fixer docker.
all my odroids are offline... can't work on hardware support for them. sigh
Bhaal
ic0n: I saw you're message about the triggers.sql .. mine build did fail while I was asleep as expected, I've started again since then... It's currently Manifying...

ARGH
ic0n: I thought it was suppose to automatically pull new stuff down?
Just spent all that time compiling, and it failed :S
going to start again from scratch

don't start again from scratch... tell us what the error was

ic0n, thumbnail gen on master wasn't broken, for some reason apacshe and gd weren't playing along
testes SA on three different occasions during the last week, open to thoughts?

got disconnected, was anything said in the mean time?
digital-gnome told me SA should be able to replay older jpegstorage events, this seems to not be the case?
ic0n
should be able to. I certainly do.
Bhaal
ic0n: nono it was the triggers.sql .. ie: when I started the compile and it pulled, it must not have pulled down the fixes you made
pos
ic0n, even though the same monitor is now doing videostorage capture?
ic0n
yeah... you have a choice.. save as jpeg or save as video... if the video exists, it shows that. if the jpegs exist, it uses those.
pos
hmm, retry later then. the skin though?
Bhaal
ic0n: But at any rate I'd already cleaned house, it's starting the compile again now
pos
might i suggest that montage opens as a sep window (or an options that enabled this). no need to waste space on that banner :)
ic0n
if you want it in a separate window then right click and select open in new tab.
pos
has there been any progress as re passthrough monitors and broken connection resulting in unreadable files? if a perp knocks down the cam before the event ends this can be bad
ofc i've tried the mp4 in mplayer
ic0n
works good for me, but that is my SA branch.
pos
ok
Bhaal
ic0n: It has a new depend? libsys-cpuload-perl?
hehe it hung waiting for me to say 'yes' for apt to install it
pos
reason i tried SA was those 10+ cams which results in events with invalid duration doing passthrough. master creates mp4s which zms will only show the first frame of (mp4 works in mplayer though, with invalid duration), SA complains about "error writing interleaved" something and in the resulting vidoes any moving objects appear "cloaked" after the first motion
just running ffmpeg -vcodec copy from cam rtsp works fine
x264 encode works on either, but is lossy and expensive
Bhaal
ic0n: Hrm, maybe it was knnniggett's ZM install I tried
ic0n
pos I think your cams are doing things that mine do not do.
I have a branch that takes a different approach, but it is too experimental.
pos
even so, if ffmpeg can do vcodec copy just fine, which zm component might try to do something causing the issue?
zmc ofc, but how and why?
these are high-end bosch cams, not some chinese bag-of-cats
ic0n
generally the issue is the timestamp on packets. Some cams do weird things.. and zm when dealing with cams does it's best. It is complex unfortunately. what to do with out of order packets? I dunno. generally sa works pretty good. at least with the cams I have.
It's in the original git clone, but it's not being cloned into the build directory
Ok, I fixed up the CMakeLists.txt file in the db dir to hopefully copy triggers.sql into the binary dir
Hmmm, well it didn't copy like I expected, so I've done it manually :D

will test later tonight
