just trying to get the video to work. If I hook a local camera up it works fine. But a remote camera crashes zms

it might be a missing newer dependency whose absesnce is not being detected.

are you saying capturing a mjpg stream is an issue or viewing as zms is related to viewing.

zm 1.31.x has video storage (it actually stores video, not a gajillion jpegs)

and it can simply store and process the h264 coming from the camera instead of re-encoding as x264

which saves considerable cpu

cam must be able to provide a video stream for passthrough, yes

or you can re-encode mjpeg as x264
