where does ubuntu put ZM logs? the service start just says "failure"

there is nothing in /var/log/zm

rveach, what is your zm debug level set to?

this is the kind of thing i have in /var/log/zm

btw on the webui ... there's a LOG button

far right next to options ... under load/disk

since I can't start zm I don't know

I don't know what happened but its working now

i hazard a guess (cos this happens on mine) /var/run/zm is either missing or wrong permissions
