Maestro modem?
Bhaal
Aye
Till it took a hit from a passing storm
inflex
My first was a internal card, some brand that started with B, from DickSmith, tip of my tongue Banshee, no that was the gfx cards... ah BANKSIA... yeah, 1200/1200, used up all my staff discountds for that one
Bhaal
Poor Agnus, she didn't got a bit of a zap too
Hahaha
inflex
then I ended up a few years later working in the mines locally for 3 days to buy the Maestro, was a 9600 unit iirc
Bhaal
Yeah my 2400baud cost $300
inflex
Might have been 2400 :\ I know it cost $299
because I was getting $100/day
Bhaal
noice
After my modem blew up, I bought some "cheap" 14.4k modem but it turned out to be complete rubbish, supposedly worked well with the macs..
So got rid of that, then got one of the first 10 28.8k modems in the country on a SysOp deal for $500 .. Wasn't even austel approved and had a US psu
"Hornet"
Anyway...
Night all
inflex
Aaah, it was a 14.4K Maestro
asker
knnniggett - do all daemons launched by zm run as www-data?
fixxxermet
asker: yes, if www-data calls zmpkg
asker
ah I see. thanks then I should tell folks to run the event server as sudo -u www-data when running from command line to test - otherwise it creates files as root and then the daemon balks
hmm, fixxxermet so I assume www-data will have SHM access
yup it does, thanks
I've started looking at the video branch - cougar has an API version working well with the video branch - looks pretty easy to integrate it - the APIs already support it.
What I don't know yet is how one detects alarm frames with the video branch
right now I traverse the frames api to pick up which frames are normal and which are alarmed
in the case of video, if saveJpeg is off, I assume this won't exist
and even if it exists, its impossible to map it to the video timeline, or is it possible?
Bhaal
asker: Which video branch?
asker
I think its called h264-feature-branch?
inflex
ja, we need to work on binding the events in to the video to give us a cue/chapter steps
Bhaal
Ahhh ok, and what's this api? :)
asker
its an API that fixxxermet developed that was merged into master - allows apps to query zm remotely
Bhaal
Ohhhh
How long ago was that?
asker
liucougar has been making commits to the video branch and he reached out to me 2 days ago
the API?
Bhaal
yeah
asker
well it got merged into master maybe 2 months ago?
Bhaal
I really need to do a compile of the video branch which is a clone, the zip file is somewhat old :/
asker
so the video branch is different from the h264-feature-branch?
