bruxC: I was wondering, they don't overheat from leaving them on 24/7? my bionic loves to overheat when using intensive apps

1) not really. I modded them with a cyangenmod rom and uninstalled everything but the bare essentials.

passed that, they run fairly cool when in a lower reso

2) between the girlfriend and I, we had 3 old droids we replaced throughout the years.

I have cyan too, but its glitchy with the data sometimes but not on wifi

since i'm using them as IP, they're always on WiFi

Yeah, I use 352x288

it seems to be perfect for the phones and my setup, anything higher and I start getting glitchy feeds.

i guess thats not bad. I get 320x240 from my "real" ip cams

Feed looks great and runs 30FPS. not the greatest but I'm still learning this technology myself.

bruxC: u ever have any issues like the phone going down and having to manually restart it?

I've only had it going for a little over a week. So far any issues I have had specifically pertained to the phones. Mainly that the batteries are shit and I don't have the proper power cables for the phones.

Yup, it does.

Having a shitty connector doesn't help though.

So again, all faults I've ran into so far has to do with the phones current state.

Past that, it's been a breeze setting them up and maintaining them.

I'm happy with how it all turned out. Especially since I didn't have to put any money into the project.

someone modded their phone so they don't use the connector, but it involves soldering

or atleast splicing wires

The way I see it, that money went towards a smartphone that's long past its lifespan. Breathing life into again and providing it a purpose is like getting a refund.

Question for you guys. What is your opinion on the overall lengthy list of Issues? Are you ok with that? I'm just wondering if we ought be more aggressive with addressing and closing these out.

At the moment I think it's ok.

I think if an issue is over a month old and the person who created it is non-responsive then we can close it

Yeah.. I don't /like/ having such a long list of issues.

However having open issues that have been addressed / tagged is fine

As long as we tag it, close it, file it, whatever, I don't see an issue.

So I spent a couple days working on the new Events view

I tried a few things, and then got frustrated and paused

The actual events view works pretty well

Clicking on an event to view its details and play it, though, I'm trying to come up with a nice way of doing that

Nothing specific other than trying to gauge if we were comfortable with 118 open issues, some having been open for a long time.
