bruxC: those poor droids. I'm still using mine as a smartphone
      • bruxC
rveach I had a handful of glitchy droids collecting dust. I am so proud of myself for finding a worthy project for them :)
      • rveach
bruxC: I was wondering, they don't overheat from leaving them on 24/7? my bionic loves to overheat when using intensive apps
      • also, how did you have a "handful" of droids?
      • :)
      • bruxC
        1) not really. I modded them with a cyangenmod rom and uninstalled everything but the bare essentials.
      • passed that, they run fairly cool when in a lower reso
      • 2) between the girlfriend and I, we had 3 old droids we replaced throughout the years.
      • rveach
I have cyan too, but its glitchy with the data sometimes but not on wifi
      • bruxC
since i'm using them as IP, they're always on WiFi
      • rveach
u know what resolution is low set at?
      • bruxC
        Yeah, I use 352x288
      • it seems to be perfect for the phones and my setup, anything higher and I start getting glitchy feeds.
      • rveach
i guess thats not bad. I get 320x240 from my "real" ip cams
      • bruxC
Feed looks great and runs 30FPS. not the greatest but I'm still learning this technology myself.
      • rveach
bruxC: u ever have any issues like the phone going down and having to manually restart it?
      • bruxC
I've only had it going for a little over a week. So far any issues I have had specifically pertained to the phones. Mainly that the batteries are shit and I don't have the proper power cables for the phones.
      • rveach
I thought I read somewhere that the bionic would work without the battery when plugged in
      • bruxC
        Yup, it does.
      • Having a shitty connector doesn't help though.
      • rveach
        oh k
      • bruxC
So again, all faults I've ran into so far has to do with the phones current state.
      • Past that, it's been a breeze setting them up and maintaining them.
      • rveach
        yea
      • bruxC
I'm happy with how it all turned out. Especially since I didn't have to put any money into the project.
      • rveach
someone modded their phone so they don't use the connector, but it involves soldering
      • or atleast splicing wires
      • well technically u already put the money into it :P
      • bruxC
The way I see it, that money went towards a smartphone that's long past its lifespan. Breathing life into again and providing it a purpose is like getting a refund.
      • Yeah, they probably soldered. I'm not about that life.

        yeah, standard.
      • knnniggett
        morning guys
      • fixxxermet
        hola
      • First day back in the office in two weeks
      • Not terribly excited
      • knnniggett
I can understand that. I had to re-adjust back to getting up at 5:30am. I've never been a morning person.
      • Question for you guys. What is your opinion on the overall lengthy list of Issues? Are you ok with that? I'm just wondering if we ought be more aggressive with addressing and closing these out.
      • ic0n
At the moment I think it's ok.
      • I think if an issue is over a month old and the person who created it is non-responsive then we can close it
      • fixxxermet
Yeah.. I don't /like/ having such a long list of issues.
      • However having open issues that have been addressed / tagged is fine
      • As long as we tag it, close it, file it, whatever, I don't see an issue.
      • So I spent a couple days working on the new Events view
      • I tried a few things, and then got frustrated and paused
      • The actual events view works pretty well
      • Clicking on an event to view its details and play it, though, I'm trying to come up with a nice way of doing that
      • ic0n
        what are the issues?
      • knnniggett
Nothing specific other than trying to gauge if we were comfortable with 118 open issues, some having been open for a long time.
      • ic0n
sorry I meant issues with events viewing
      • knnniggett
        oh

I think we are doing a fine job of dealing with/triaging issues.
      • knnniggett
Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was just me being obssessive/compulsive ....having a strong desire to close them out just to keep things "clean"
      • ic0n
we need to have issues around for real issues so that people can put bounties on them.
      • knnniggett

ic0n: no technical issue. Just thinking about the UI / design
      • like
      • With the classic skin, when you're playing back an event and you hit 'next', or 'delete' and it goes to the nxt event
      • How does it know which event the next one is?
      • attilahooper joined the channel
      • I guess it is the sort_field in the url
      • ah. It puts the entire filter query in the url

thx to icon for helping out with nagging issues the other day. perseverance prevailed, rebuilt master on Deb 7.7.0 and able to get edimax 3100p rtsp stream very responsive, no delay
      • however, still receiving "ERR-zm_rtp_ctrl.cpp/155 [Received unexpected packet type 101, ignoring" in debug
      • from zmc
      • ic0n
        interesting.
      • fixxxermet: it looks up the next event, there is some serious optimisation needed though in the query to get the next event.

I'm working on event queries rightnow
      • In the API
      • Will return a paginated JSON object of the events which matches that crieteria
      • To find the next event... hmm
