#zoneminder

I am trying to get zoneminder up on a "server" i have running mint 17 mate but this keeps happening http://pastebin.com/simxU80r

I just uninstalled it.. well purged it.

I'm going to reinstall now

I googled the error code I was getting and some guy said that how he got it to work. apt-get purge, apt-get clean, then reinstalled

Cause i was told would help, it's installing now.

which led me to this "error"

do you even know what those commands you are inputting do?

ln -s / ls -l, etc.?

they are all more or less programs arguements

which is a description that suites 99% of all commands.

I know a good handfull ls, cd, mv, rm, sudo, apt-get

ln -s creates a "symlink"

so conf-enabled is the directory name

so far.

to replace /etc/apache2/conf.d/zomeminder.conf with /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/zoneminder.conf

are your cameras directly connected to your computer?

SO I got that lsusb thing up and I see it but I need to get info from it.. and I'm not sure how

it says do this..... sudo zmu -d /dev/video0 -q -v

but I get.... Error, failed to enumerate standard 0: Success

you need to fermiliarize yourself with zoneminder

explore the console

dont just follow some random howto

simplest rule of all: if something doesnt work - try something else.

I just need to figure out the stuff for my camera so I can put it in zoneminder

I guess I'm not doing something right...

I think it's I don't have to correct path for the camera.. Just not sure what else it would be.

okay I'm pretty damn sure the camera is being called for power and what not, like I'm pretty damn sure it's on the right path, but I can't get an image, my link is orange

so I'm really kind of stumped.
