well, this is a bugfix

and a fairly trivial one, so it does not really need tests

it has 3 signed-offs, does that add 3 points?

sure, for no-op changes where the compiler generates the exact same object file

but those cleanup patches are not in scope for stable

i do take patches for stable without tests

it depends though how long I want to see them in the wild before I pick them
