hi, is there a way to log only the ip address of the incoming traffic over ssh in twisted? i am aware of getPeer() but i want to use log.startLogging(sys.stderr)

the ip address is automatically logged, but there are other stuff that i dont want them to appear

my question is how to keep the ip address log and remove other logs

xtech, btw, twisted.logger is the new thing, twisted.python.logging is old and becoming (soft) deprecated; i guess you'd have to write an observer or something, i don't know

but tbh, twisted.logger has its own heap of problems as well

if you know stdlib logging i'd heavily advise using that

(the problem with twisted.logger is that it's mainly very cryptic and nobody remembers how to use it; if you can decipher the docs, it's good, http://twistedmatrix.com/documents/current/core... )
