k, "it plays" is good enough

it is a 6 year old video that has been reencoded a few times. I am not at all worried about perfection

vocto's static config - how would it have impacted how we did things at LCA? every room had 2 machines, camera on mixer, twinpact and collector on slave.

ryan and I pretty much hard code settings into our launch scripts

so im not sure I see a problem.

otoh, I don't see a working thing, nor any hope that it will have the features I need. (like a cut button)

I think I setup building on another machine, and then gave the HD to a conference organizer so he could grab 200gig of dv flies off it

Well you need to get license for your installation. Use license manager or simply use the .xsvf that I have uploaded.

looks like I got the license file in the riht place, make didn't error

but I don't see hdmi2usb.xsvf
