foreman ec2 keeps spawning an image of ami-fb8611c1 = ubuntu

but im trying to use centos, i found some code in fog that has this ami hard set

in foreman user-data templates

im trying to get the template to resolve <%= indent(2) { snippet('puppetlabs_repo') } %>

but it wont, i even tried setting a parameter in the hostsgroups

no value just appears

context umm, im just using a template user-data for ec2 deployment and the template comes preloaded with some lookup variables

that varable is supposed to provide the puppet repo to the cloud init, so it can intall the repo and then install puppet-agent

coffee---: check the puppetlabs_repo snippet, there are some 'if' conditions on top, if they are not met, the snippet will render to ''

(empty string)

I worked it out after hours, i went looking for the template deep in foreman

and found i need to set enable-puppetlabs-pc1-repo = true

coffee---: or 'enable-puppetlabs-repo' , it depends which one you prefer

coffee---: you can set the parameter globally in Configure > Global parameters if you prefer that
