It only accepts a boolean, So I imagine it just turns a setting on or off

hey thanks
so I had foreman 1.11.2 installed on 6.8 everything was great, provisioned servers everything was running smooth, then I installed oVirt 3.6 using their quickstart guide. Now hosts are unable to upload reports and all hosts show out of sync.
At least I believe they are unable to upload reports as there is nothing in the logs that I can find.
should I adjust the port for apache that oVirt runs on?

Now I get it. You installed ovirt-engine on the same server that Foreman is running on, right?

brumsey: if true then separate the two by using vhosts. There used to be a warning on the ovirt wiki about sharing ovirt with other apps. It should work but depends on one of the questions asked during the install of ovirt. Its about automatically using /ovirt. I can't remember the exact wording at the moment

Dominic: I am really lost trying to install ovirt on the same server as foreman. Is there any guide that can step me through it?

I installed it and now all my hosts show out of sync. What logs should I be looking at to find the problem?

brumsey: start with the Puppet agent logs (syslog), then the master logs (syslog), then Foreman logs (production.log)

Ok, how do you suggest that I install foreman alongside ovirt?
dLobatog
brumsey: I think what others told you above about looking at your apache vhosts conf (/etc/httpd) would be a good first step.. in any case I don't think you're going to find support here or in the ovirt channel for that situation, one's installer overrides the other's conf
Dominic
I don't, and I don't know about oVirt

Dominic: Here is a question you can answer for me. If I setup multiple instances of apache, how can I specify which one foreman uses for the installation?
to clarify I mean multiple instances of apache on the same server. Two seperate processes and configs
Dominic
the installer configures the system default version only, you can't change the configuration path

How would you install it if apache was already installed and configured? Will foreman just overwrite any existing apache configs?

probably

brumsey: add a second vhost to your server and install ovirt in that and foreman in another.
