I have successfully installed foreman (with 2 nics one for management 1 for provisioning) and followed all directions, but dhcp server doesn't serve up leases.
I also ran the provisioner process, created dhcp and followed on screen wizards, but no dhcp (altough its running)
running centos 7, no firewall,
foreman 1.10.0 discovery plugin version 4.1

I see the dhcp requests coming from clients, have downloaded and applied the newest discovery image.
but no answers from foreman.
management interface is set to use dhcp (from my internal server), with dhclient, and network manager is configured
secondary interface is set to static
172.16.1.1/24
with no gateway set at this time, and ip forward in kernel is disabled.
no obvious errors in logs, no attempts at any dhcp reservations, even through dhcpd is setup properly

symgryph1: did you make subnets in theforman ui?
symgryph1
I did
followed the 'provisioning' gui which makes one.
172.16.1.0/24
I chose it.

so if you request a lease you get nothing?
from a client machine?

I was just trying to 'pxe' boot, but I get requests from pxe boot
tcpdumped them

just booted a client on that net, no dice on dhcp either
aka no response from the server.
I can ping server (aka foreman) if I setup 'static' on client, with os, but no response on dhcp requests.
nmap shows the following tcp ports open on foreman host facing 'provisioning' net of 172.16.1.0/24
22, 53, 80, 443, 7911, 8443
udp scans still happening.

kinda new to foreman/puppet, trying to provision a centos7 server as a guest VM on libvirt (works fine for debian). It seems a mismatch of vmlinuz and initrd. I'm not sure where to fix this in foreman

JollyRgrs: hello, you can always remove the files under the tftp/boot/centos* and foreman will redownload them once you put a host to build mode
JollyRgrs: it can happen if you had a "faulty" mirror
