cyrus_mc: it means that either your vmware setup lacks of clusters, or that you didnt provide the cluster id (directly or via compute profile)
cyrus_mc
ohadlevy: clusters are there. The compute profile shows the cluster (there is only one). I just tried to edit and then save (with no changes) and then it worked.
brdude
ohadlevy: Thanks!
cyrus_mc
kind of a bug in my opinioin. It shows the cluster set correctly (this compute profile was created via the API) but apparently it isn't

ohadlevy: looking at the compute attributes API, I don't see a parameter I can pass it to explicitly set the cluster
assuming it would be under vm_attrs hash?
ohadlevy
cyrus_mc: afair its a hash you pass
yeah
cyrus_mc
ohadlevy: do you know the exact key name to use? or how I might find that
it's the "plaintext encryption method" feature, for use with non-linux os (ahem, windows)
ohadlevy
NuxRo: if you open that link, you would see htr branches its merged in
NuxRo: and it looks like its in 1.9 only
NuxRo
ok :(
thanks

blah, my lack of knowledge for rails is becoming annoying.
jb: and yea, delete() returns the item deleted, not the hash
jb
ah, ok.
stbenjam
jb: rails has a handy thing, you could do info_without_env.except('environment')
jb
ah, ha. except!
that worked.
stbenjam: thanks!
so now, I have a pointless plugin with hosts hardcoded :) guess I need to figure out how to actually present this option to users for each host.
stbenjam
jb: simplest would be to check for a host parameter
jb: fancier would be to add a boolean database column, and override the host view to add a checkbox
eroussel joined the channel
jb
yeah, I figured a param would be the easiest.
a database column/form-field would be prettier I guess.
stbenjam: do you know of any examples that use a param for something like this?

thomasmckay
gkoch: sorry, i will take a look at that tomorrow
gkoch
thomasmckay: no problem. thanks.
stbenjam
jb: not that i know of, i think most would go the database route
jb
ok, maybe I should just give that a go.
I think I saw a few plugins that at least show you how to override the host view.
sounds like a more difficult option, but probably the right way to do it.
