Is there a way to quiet down remote-execs ?

pll: I’ve been adding -q, -qq and —quiet to everything

remote-exec -stfu

if remote-exec just passes whataver to the shell, you could try:

ye olde: script > /dev/null 2>&1

or `: $(yourcommand)`

Spanktar: No, that's not what I mean. I want to quiet down the 'Connecting...' messages from terraform itself.

ok, finally back to terraform work…having an issue with templates.

I have a .tpl file that I’m trying to do variable substitution in and then use as a proviosner file

is this possible or am I Doing It Wrong™?

wait, what?! Today it works?!

ok, so it “worked” by which I mean Terraform didin’t complain and built, but the variable was not applied

I’m kinda stumped

Q: HOw can I use terraform resource information (in this case IP address) as a variable ina template?
