Good morning everyone.
Is it possible to create a random string when deploying with terraform?

How can I "interpolate" an array? `foo = "${array}"` does not seem to do the trick...

sebstrax: the join() function ?
sebstrax
t0m: not when an argument requires input to be a list... but ["${split(",", var_name)}"] did the trick oddly

wjimenez5271: since I went AFK before you responded yesterday, we modified it to delete the client when the node gets deleted
But that also requires us to delete the chef node along with the associated aws_instance (which is easy because we have it all packed into a module)

Gentle folks, has anyone used the new vSphere provider plugin?
If yes, does the use of 'ip_address' parameter require vmware tools to be installed in the guest OS?

Hey all, I'm still playing around with terraform, but I noticed when I rename modules, the statefile still keeps an "empty" version of the old one (with zero resources). Is there an open ticket for this?
I couldn't find one when I looked, but I'm not confident I was using the right search terms in github
