anyone tried creating a mysql database in terraform since 0.6.6? I'm getting name conflicts with "project-env" as a name when I didn't previously

can't spot anything in the change log though :/

ah found it, turns out database identifiers can have dashes but not th edatabase name inside it :/

dashes considered harmful

anyone have trouble associating AWS EIPs to instances using terraform ? i have 1 out of 3 failures

hmm, don't think so.

I've been spinning up VPCs quite a bit lately, and each with a NAT that has an EIP attached.

do you use depends_on? my NAT definition is just this: https://gist.github.com/ralph-tice/3d6e5b2076cb...

but i'm doing 3 NAT for my 3 AZ VPC, one NAT per public/private subnet pair and one public/private subnet pair per AZ

yeah, I use depends_on.

ahhh maybe that's what i need to drop in then

We're only doing 2 nats, primary and failover.

all 3 subs across AZs will route through a single nat.

Hello, I am seeing some behavior where Terraform is returning incorrect values for resource parameters. Example: When calling ${aws_instance.(name).private_ip} as the value for a r53 record it is populating it with a random pub IP that doesnt even belong to the box. Any ideas?

pll: thanks! ... how explicit are you, generally, with depends_on? do you specify everything explicitly?

like for your route table, do you define depends on for both the instance and the EIP ?

Not sure.

I don't think I use it that much.
