any merge masters around?

guys: guys I'm having issues associating a gateway_id within a aws_route_table resource

when I associate it to the igw of vpc it works find, however when associating it to a nat instance, I get "aws_route_table.mod: InvalidGatewayID.NotFound: The gateway ID 'i-9066be4f'"

I've performed this whilst having all my resources at the top level (flat hierarchy / no modules)

and it looks ok, but when I use modules for my subnets

it comes up

with the error provided

how do people feel about terraform having awareness to switch off termination protection for instances it manages so it can destroy/recycle them in an apply?
