        hi
      • I am trying to setup taskwarrior on android but having some problems with the key
      • has any one setup a taskwarrior android development enviroment?
      • ddeimeke
HarryHallman: Many people in this channel did ...
      • HarryHallman: What is the problem you are facing?

        Hello everyone.
      • Is there a means to automatically update the display of reports? I.e. I'm using multiple tmux panes to display various tasks. I'd like them to automatically update when I add/complete a task. I've tried with e.g. `watch task burndown`, which garbles the output completely.
      • HarryHallman
ddeimeke, I get an error about loading a PKCS1 key
      • there is some code to convert from pem to der and i hoped to open the project in a debugger to understand whats going on
      • are there many android taskwarrior apps?
      • i should also mention that the key is for a task warrior server
      • ddeimeke
        jottr: "while : ; do clear ; task burndown ; sleep 5 ; done"
      • HarryHallman: Did you configure your client according to this webpage? https://bitbucket.org/kvorobyev/taskwarriorandr...
      • tbabej
jottr: this also seems to work: watch -c task rc._forcecolor=1 burndown
      • jottr
tbabej: Thx. Strangely not working in my shell
      • ddeimeke's solutin works though
      • tbabej
jottr: Yeah, that one is guaranteed to work. Deimeke^TM
      • pbeckingham joined the channel
      • HarryHallman
        Yeah
      • I have also enabled android debug.
      • jottr
tbabej: Oh, hold on. It does work.
      • tbabej
All hail the keeper of the features, the merger of the patches, Paul the root-committer!
      • jottr
How would I add that setting to my .taskrc? Adding rc._forcecolor=1 seems to not be sufficient.
      • tbabej
jottr: rc. prefix means overriding the taskrc, so dropping that prefix, it should work
      • meaning '_forcecolor=1' in your .taskrc
      • ddeimeke
HarryHallman: Which error message do you get?
      • jottr
tbabej: Weird, that does not work...

      • jottr
Ok, I'm becoming really confused now: https://taskwarrior.org/docs/examples.html#color
      • So what is the correct syntax to force color?
      • Ok, so `watch -c task rc._forcecolor=1 burndown
      • yields colorized output. While `watch -c task rc._forcecolor=1 +work` does not...
      • jottr rubs temples in confusion
      • youpsla joined the channel
      • tbabej
jottr: maybe there's simply nothing to colorize in the second task call?
      • jottr
tbabej: There should be. Since it does display color without watch -c
      • Or when using ddeimeke's solution above. Which sadly leads to flickering upon refresh. So a working `watch -c` would be preferable...
      • tbabej
jottr: Well you gotta hunt the problem down then.
      • jottr: does task rc._forcecolor=1 +work | less produce color codes?
      • jottr
        tbabej: Yes it does
      • Maybe watch is the culprit after all
      • regagain joined the channel
      • pbeckingham
jottr: Try combining these two: rc.detection=0 rc._fircecolor=1
      • Typo, "firce", sorryt.
      • jottr
pbeckingham: Same thing. Still not working.
      • pbeckingham
Try running watch with no options, wondering if the delta stuff is getting in the way.
      • jottr
pbeckingham: Keeping the task rc.* options enabled, that produces the ansi color codes, i.e. garbled output.
      • pbeckingham
watch appears to be the problem.
      • tbabej
pbeckingham: watch si definitely the problem
      • jottr: On the other hand, fixing an issue in watch will earn you eternal fame in nearly every linux distro
      • jottr
I guess it must be an issue with my specific setup...
      • pbeckingham
        I doubt that.
      • jottr
        echo -e "\e[31mHello World\e[0m"
      • sorry
      • watch -c echo -e "\e[31mHello World\e[0m"
      • does also not work in my shell...
      • Without watch -c it does
      • Is anyone else on osx by any chance?
      • pbeckingham
        Me
      • Wel, macOS.
