Why?

Express exists, is based on the ideas of sinatra, and works in a language that doesn't make me want to kill the core team

Why do you not like ruby?

The syntax is weird and the results of their community horrify me (Haml, SCSS, CoffeeScript).

I use all of those languages and they are aweseom

HAML is bit odd I must admit but coffee and SCSS are both awesome languages

And once you get over the syntax barrier it is a very nice language to use

But, why not just use Jade and Stylus instead?

Jade sometimes has problems that haml has fixes

and stylus also has problems with inheritance

And what are these "problems"?

you have to have the & for inheritance and with scss and less it just renders without needing the &

grunt sux. Personally, I'd like to have gulp in there, since it's much cleaner

but whatever, it's small Gruntfile right now. I had much bigger once

if you ask mel, I think that Gruntfile.spider is overkill here

well, it's stupid that Spider compiler uses grunt task using Spider compiler to compile Spider code.

If your working branch produces broken code but doesn't fail then you have no easy way of fixing it

now I remember. When I tried to implement some new feature into the compiler I had to update spider compiler in grunt-spider-script's node_modules

circular dependency rulez.

and then create one commit for Spider instead of 2 (or even 3 in future?) of yours

it had problems with travis so i didn't intend until it's made properly

the travis problems are probably caused by the grunt plugin

there are no tests for that

i think that #1 priority would be to fix tasks with importing modules

like issue #104

or #117

and taking #115 into account
