ge whiz that's a lot of merges

so as the number of docs i'm writing grows, the totree on the <- left is looking way too flat.

i'd like to separate and modularize the documents in a common theme

for instance maybe index fruits/* vegetables/* - but when i navigate to an included folder in my index.rst, i lose the toctree entirely of earlier docs
