birkenfeld: are you interested in patches that improve epub output for iBooks?

(which I'd guess is probably the primary reader for epub...)

shimizukawa: I'm just getting started trying to clean up our docs in epub format ... the big issue that I had first is that a lot of font settings are ignored (including in code blocks and things like ``foo``) until you emit a modified bit of metadata in the content.opf

shimizukawa: but have more work to do there to get better fonts happening, so we'll see what else has to change. I haven't tried doing better covers for showing in iBooks yet.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar to iBooks specification (and all of epub format) , however I think it's nice if sphinx generated epub files fit to many epub readers.

it is not merged yet, however if it is useful for your modification for iBooks, please refer it. If you have a chance, please review it :)

shimizukawa: are you involved with it?

shimizukawa: to get fonts to work in iBooks, you need this in the package tag itself: prefix="ibooks: http://vocabulary.itunes.apple.com/rdf/ibooks/v...;

and then as a child to <metadata> next to the dublin core stuff: <meta property="ibooks:specified-fonts">true</meta>

but I'll submit a PR for that soon.

the PR (epub3 builder) generates 'content.opf' and 'nav.xhtml' files.

the existing epub builder generates content.opf ... although I noticed that an Apple produced book had package.opf

I'm going to review the PR, however I'm not familiar to the epub format.

the author of the PR syas, format of content.ops is bit different by epub2/3.

To be more explicit, for the source code "iclass LoginForm(Form)" , I get in the generated doc: class base.forms.LoginForm(formdata=<class flask_wtf.form._Auto at 0x2fa09a8>, obj=None ...

any idea what's wrong ?
