Hey, does readthedocs always install the requirements from the master branch?

Our HTML build is failing, apparently because our requirements.txt lists an older version of Sphinx

I've updated our Sphinx version: https://github.com/ckan/ckan/pull/1947/files but the docs build on that branch is still failing https://readthedocs.org/builds/ckan/1706099/ and from the output looks like it's still using the older Sphinx version

Hmm, looks like one of our other deps may be depending on the older version of Sphinx

Well, at first it installs Sphinx 1.2.2 (which is confusing - the version in our docs is 1.2.3). Then near the bottom of the setup output it detects the existing version of Sphinx and uninstalls it then installs Sphinx again, but apparently installs 1.1.3. Not sure why it's doing this

That's not happening when I make a new virtualenv locally and install our pip-requirements-docs.txt into it - I end up with Sphinx 1.2.3

Ah, rebuilt and it worked

thanks. yeah, pretty much. I don't understand why they don't officially open up their apis to developers personally, in my eyes all it would do is add value to their platform
