ericholscher: I would be correct in assuming that RTD has no mapping of RTD <-> PyPI yes?
      • ericholscher
        right
      • someone was asking for it the other day
      • but it seems like the wrong direction to keep that mapping
      • dstufft
        yea
      • I'm going over some integration ideas in my head
      • ericholscher
trying not to be python specific
      • dstufft
wanted to make sure I wasn't going to duplicate work
      • ericholscher
though we could maybe have a "official package url" or something
      • dstufft
course with the new porject url stuff maybe we don't even need to do anything

      • since someone can just set project_urls = {"Documentation": "Rtd url"}
      • ericholscher
it would be cool if there was a way to query that info
      • from our side
      • I really want a "this is being used for official docs" flag so we can QOS against it
      • some people just have huge, BS builds for no reason
      • dstufft
would you be willing to look into a generic documentation url location and see if it's an RTD url or not?
      • ericholscher
well, the issue is that people use CNAMEs
      • so it would probably have to be on our side, anyway
      • for that specific feature
      • dstufft
        ok

having a mapping of some kind would be nice -- but I dunno the best way to do it
      • iirc the dash guy wanted similar
      • because atm there is no way to do it
      • dstufft

iguananaut: I think it'll work to trigger a build manually. then it'll pull from the repo and notice new tags
      • iguananaut
Odd--kicking off a manual build doesn't even seem to be working. Just to be sure I pushed a new change so at the very least my 'latest' build should rebuild

Hello, I'm having some trouble with my ReadTheDocs admin interface
      • specifically, when I click the Build button, no build begins
      • It seems to make an ajax request, based on my browser's network activity, but nothing comes of it

      • acbart
So RTD is very busy right now?
      • Wraithan
acbart: yes, we have a large number of builds in the queue, so your build hasn't started
      • acbart
        Okay!
      • Thanks :D
      • Wraithan
acbart: and yes we have a ticket to make that button display that a build is queued, despite how many things are in front of it
      • Wraithan should really see about fixing that
      • tomingv joined the channel
      • acbart
Well hopefully I didn't make the queue even worse by pressing the button like 10 times
      • ... I am the worst kind of user
      • Wraithan
        acbart: big project or tiny?
      • acbart
        Fairly big?
      • I don't have the sense of scale here
      • Wraithan
ah, then ya, you are the worst user
      • Wraithan kids
      • acbart: most projects take less than a minute to build, some project take longer
      • no worries though :)
      • Wraithan goes off to see what the queue is mostly made of
      • Titilambert
acbart: I get the same thing
      • I create a new project and nothing happends
