i have a question

i'm looking at buying a collectino of old radios including a futaba FP-T5JH and an FP-T8JN

they look like good candidates for a refurb to ATMEGA2560-based OpenTX.... assuming the mechanicals are in good nick

is this a terrible idea

this project would be to avoid having to shell out for a real, modern radio

but also i know how i would do it, i'm not scared of it and i'm totally capable
