mmmm
-
-
tricky
-
cehteh
i wanted to order 3 ICs from farnell or digikey recently .. dunno which one that was
-
the ic where already overpriced at small quantities at 4.50Eur a piece
-
but with packaging and shipping it turned out to be 50Eur altogether
-
*cancel*
-
teus
er
-
no
-
you need to order minimum 50 euro
-
then you get free shipping
-
cehteh: the lt1930 is 5,63 euro
-
the other parts are around 3-4 euro for 5-10 pieces
-
-
cehteh
teus: can you check if you can order some iso1540 chips along?
-
teus
i think the coil is wrong tho
-
sure
-
cehteh
-
teus
per piece, 5,07
-
-
they got evaulation modules for 48/62 euro
-
cehteh
... not overy important but if that helps you to reduce shipping by the minimum order i take a few when they are not overly expensive
-
yeah price sux
-
teus
mmm
-
i think i wont have trouble to make the minimum 50 euro
-
but if i can do you a favor by getting you a few, i'd be glad to do that
-
cehteh
mhm .. nah makes no sense then
-
i hoped they are cheaper
-
its just a plan anyway dont need them exactly now
-
prolly going just with a resistor and a zener to protect a bus :D
-
teus
mmm
-
farnell price is so-so
-
cehteh
yeah
-
teus
others have less parts to offer but sharper prices
-
mouser is 4,56 euro
-
cehteh
i wanted to try some bidirectional bus isolators, there are others as well but all in a similar price range
-
teus
mmm ok
-
cehteh: can you check this datasheet
-
-
shortcircuit current is 85ma
-
does that mean you need a supply that can provide at least 85ma of current on both positive and negative rail?
-
cehteh
do you want to short-circruit it?
-
teus
no
-
but isnt that the max power draw?
-
cehteh
how much mA does it need in operation :D .. i mean with a high impedance headphone connected
-
teus
its not for a headamp
-
its a differential line thing
-
cehteh
ah
-
teus
balanced audio for car
-
i have no idea how much power it would draw
-
-
this guy says 20ma
-
cehteh
if you supply limits the current (and doesnt blow up) then you can feed less amps in, just a bit more than its needed for stable operation
-
yeah i thought something along that
-
teus
well
-
cehteh
of course your power supply must liimit the current and not blow up when you draw more
-
teus
thing is, these monolithic symmtrical psu's are expensive
-
ya
-
a 50ma supply is much cheapre than a 200ma one (7euro)
-
cehteh
i'd expect they have some protection
-
datasheet again :D
-
teus
of the drv134?
-
i assume protection is no problem
-
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
-
what if i just go for 2v symmetrical, or more
-
less volts should be cheaper
-
audio line level is just 2V max
-
cehteh
that could be done from 5V easily
-
(virtual ground then)
-
which may become a pita in car electronics because everything relies on a common ground
-
teus
....
-
exactly
-
ohh
-
-
inductorless charge pump
-
simple
-
heh just a simple inverter
-
can run it at 150khz
