the ic where already overpriced at small quantities at 4.50Eur a piece

but with packaging and shipping it turned out to be 50Eur altogether

... not overy important but if that helps you to reduce shipping by the minimum order i take a few when they are not overly expensive

if you supply limits the current (and doesnt blow up) then you can feed less amps in, just a bit more than its needed for stable operation
