I'm pserving production.ini on port 80

but for some reason when I go to the domain I've linked to my box

it's having "Server not found" issues

Is DNS set up/configured?

Firewall disabled?

I've got the correct nameservers in place

Or at least port 80 allowed?

Nothing is listening on port 80, or it's blocked by your firewall.

had to update a couple dependencies quick

so either a dependancy is failing or your root route has an error. same thing doesnt happen locally?

it's the postgresql db

I'm a little unfamiliar with the roles/pg_restore heirarchy

I can access the postgresql role

but from that prompt I can't access my dump file

and when I try to run pg_restore from root

I get this

It sounds like you need to read the PostgreSQL documentation on how to set up access properly.

grouchosnarx: Make sure postgres is listening, that you have the user allowed to connect, and use some sort of password based auth.

x58: it seems to be listening based on running pg_lsclusters

and I assumed setting the correct sqlalchemy.url in the ini file constitutes the password based auth?

namecheap is good, or I personally use name.com

yeah I know all the godaddy horror stories.

If you use name.com though, don't use their DNS service :/

Google also has Google DOmains.

I really only grabbed this as a temporary setup in order to show the client I've contracted with my progress
