does anyone know what the best way is to anonymize e-mails for sending/receiving? Like craiglist and AirBnb
-
craigslist*
-
inklesspen
generally you want a one-way hash
-
and of course you need the ability to send and receive email in your app
-
jayd3e
-
know of any other good alternatives?
-
inklesspen
that site serves a very different purpose from craigslist/airbnb's email anonymizing.
-
what are you actually trying to accomplish?
-
jayd3e
inklesspen: it has an api that allows you to create anonymous e-mails with a specific domain
-
and then check the inboxes of those anonymous e-mails
-
inklesspen
yes, but what are you trying to do
-
jayd3e
inklesspen: I'm trying to give my users a safe way to e-mail each other, without knowing one another's real e-mail addresses
-
inklesspen
ok
-
jayd3e
so an e-mail proxy in a way
-
inklesspen
then you will need to learn how to send and receive email
-
without being blocked by spam
-
spam filters, i mean
-
that is going to be the single hardest part
-
actually generating the email addresses is trivial
-
-
try having a look at this
-
jayd3e
inklesspen: so I've sent and received e-mail through services quite a bit
-
would I be able to do all of what I need through such a service?
-
inklesspen: nice nvm, answered my own question
-
I definitely can do all of this using mailgun
-
inklesspen: thanks
-
inklesspen
sure thing

In an attempt to package pyramid_rpc with tests enabled, it stumbles upon some AMF related tests. I maintain those packages for the openSUSE family.
-
Question is, whom to blame? It smells like an PyAMF issue, but those devs are not that responsive...
