OT: My credit card was compromised. The perps made two $20 purchases from Twilio.

What on earth is the angle there?

chrisrossi: it's not unusual for stolen credit cards to have small purchases made on them to test the number before packaging it up and selling it

there's a $1 charge to a gibberish business name, that i assume was the test transaction.

i'm not sure what buying $40 worth of credit with Twilio really gets you.
