for me personally, if it wasn't for PyCon 2010's diversity grant and Gloria's outreach efforts, I would never have gone to PyCon

and therefore none of my open source projects would exist

I might even be doing C++/MFC windows development today, if not for diversity outreach

That is a shame.

if a particular woman writes bad code, diversity groups give her the opportunity to reach out for help, attend workshops, learn in a friendly setting free of harassment. but it can be hard for women who haven't experienced harassment to understand how important this can be.

that is a very good point.

i'm looking for a project starter kit for Flask development. I find myself kind of setting up the same types of files and folder structures over and over again. any idea? or what to search for on github?

hellerbarde: just fyi 0.7.2 came out less than 48 hours ago, which was a big cross-platform compatibility release. hopefully we caught all the windows bugs, but if not, file an issue and we'll do our best to help/fix
