anyone in here have ideas on what power adapters to get for traveling us > europe? need one for phone + computers… no clue what to get!

Laptop power bricks usually can take either 110 or 220, so all you need is a plug adaptor (cheap/lightweight) for the country/ies you're going to.

You definitely want to avoid having to carry a 110/220 inverter if possible. They're heavy.

coffee grinders, on the other hand... ( a coworker learned the hard way)

I killed my AA battery charger that way, and it's quite hard to find simple NiMH AA chargers that are dual-voltage.

(had a camera that took AA at the time)

I think some of the cheap USB charger adaptors may not be dual voltage, but dedicated phone chargers probably will be.
