There's is a caching server for web traffic, not sure if it caches video or not; Kinda hope so. MSUS for the windows machines. ~had~ a caching server for Apple Updates, before it blew up along with the rest of OSX server. need to fix that part...

Though once I finally get around to activating it for the whole district, the k1000 will handle most software updates for all the computers, including (in theory) OS updates for the Macs.

Avatharian: not sure why your Mac blew up.. you could run caching server/update server by itself without profile manager.

adamcodega: Probably what I'll do

Cache server is just an on off switch.. depends how many Macs you have installing apps and etc. I have ours configured so it offers it to the employee BYOD network as well.

Nice. I've been asked to deploy it again. Despite our Sophos admin being unsure of the console. So that = bad time for the clients.

for us we have Mcafee

with the ePO console

but users with admin rights like to play with the machines and Sophos seems popular with them
