aviriel: Morning and thanks

AFaust: will you go to Summit this November?
AFaust
I found the end results quite interesting as two people with a better average priority (and only slightly less votes) were listed below me.
aviriel: No, I currently have no plans to go to Summit this year.
aviriel
I didn't give my vote to Jeff, because I knew that too many people will vote for him. Maybe others had similar thoughts
AFaust
First of all I can't expect my company to cover the travel expenses and personally I don't see the value of a business-ified, American-style (i.e. superficial) conference
Yeah, but theoretically, our method of vote counting could mean that someone with an average priority of 1.0 could loose to a candidate with 5.0 that just has one vote more...
That was what I found interesting when looking at the results. I fully understand that people voted less for certain candidates for certain reasons...

AFaust: can you tell me your email address that is correct to subscribe it to our internal mailing list?

AFaust: I asked the botbot team (who provide the logging) about redacting your email from the logs; I'll let you know what they say
AFaust
@marsbard: It's not too bad if they don't - as I lightly pointed out, I already receive enough spam that some more won't probably be noticed... And it helps put pressure on our IT to improve detection...
lightly? lightedly? light-heartedly? pick the one that fits best...
