boz_b: Who are you anyways? I always see you here.
Do you come to our meetings?

I stumbled across MLUG recently when the mailing list was CC'ed on an email to another mailing list I'm on. I have not been to a meeting yet but am planning to at some point when time allows.

Hi all. Not much action at the moment?
Any have suggestions for an Android web clipping app that will capture the text, formating
links and graphics?
Or something that is open source?
victorbrca
going out for lunch... be back and we can talk.. :)
back...
bunk3m: are you looking for something that will format the images as well?
bunk3m
I'm not sure what you mean by "format the images". I'd like it to capture the text with formatting, and images/graphics. I have an app on my Mac that I select the parts of the webpage that I want to clip and drag them to the app. It copies everything including all the formatting and images into a file that I can then search for or print.
I could do a hangout to show you want it does/how it works if that is helpful to understand what I'm looking for.

I think I got it.. but I'm not familiar with any app that will copy formatted text and images
I know there are ways to send photos and text via cliboard, but I don't think it will send the formatting as well.

Evernote?
victorbrca
I haven't used it in a long time... does it have that feature?
boz_b
Not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but that's the first thing that popped into my head when I read your question.

Thanks but I've looked at Evernote and it didn't quite work.
How do you guys clip parts of webpages for future reference? I find a lot of pages that have some description and then have an image/screenshot showing the commands from the command line. When I select and drag to the app, it copies all the text and graphics.

I usually either bookmark the whole page or I save it with "pocket" so I can read it later.
