hey, can anyone help with a plugin dev question? is the plugin loaded when logstash starts, and can I keep state in memory for the duration of that process? basically i'd like to momoize certain data to make a filter more efficient.

would it be bad practice for my logstash input to be receiving to different streams on the same port?

so i'd have two separate http input blocks, each getting its own application stream obviously, but the two blocks would be receiving on the same port.

not sure if I really need to use different ports...

i guess that if the same filter and output should be applied to 2 separate streams then why not ?

uh...output will be the same. There will be no filter for the second: just str8 to elasticsearch.
