oh, crap, I left home for the day and forgot to turn off a process running on netbeans.. thousands of debug messages flooding rabbitmq and logstash doesn't know how to hoover them yet :x

rastro: I found it. It appears to be failing when I add in the "fields" setting

rastro: basic input output works, it even works on the filter if I don't define any fields setting, I can define a query and hosts but as soon as I do fields, it seems to break

Ahuge: do all those fields exist in all the documents that are returned?

rastro: yes, and I also tried it with only one and it was the one I was querying against so I *know* it exists

rastro: err actually wait.. they exist on all the documents that meet my query for sure. Since you can't seem to define an index to search on, I am not sure if it is searchjing the other indexes

Ahuge: sounds like it's searching the other indexes. Maybe try curl'ing with that query to see what you get?

memory usage has increased on elk stalk to total of 6.2GB used, yesterday when it was started it was just around 4GB used

LS Virtual memory usage is 4.6GB, resident 1.2GB

Kibans :VIRT 1.5GB resident 340MB
