i started comparing log-courier, but driskell has changed log-courier input quite a bit

i did LSF early on, then went to log-courier, then I moved all of my source data to json

and went back to LSF and ditched grok altogether

tinkered with heka for awhile, it's soooo fast, but not so easy to use like LS

m0nky: so you could modify the loop to look for the existence of the field first...

it's an easy fix

BeeJay: not really an indexer, but it has inputs, enrichment, and outputs

more of the parsing you write in lua

logstash is also not an indexer, but a forwarder/processor

OK sorry indexer is the wrong term for LS ;)
