i've a server with influxdb that gets all the telegraf agent data from each server. But one specific case is server in DMZ. How do you handle that case to be able to get the health of that server ?

is there a way to pull the data of the DMZ from the InfluxDB server ?

little question about retention policies for collectd

in the conf file in the meta section the retention-autocreate is set to true

ok the situation is more clear, first [retention] enabled = false

so i guess it disabled all retention process

and housekeeping

when i check the retention defined for collectd

i get default 2016h0m0s

so i guess that if i turn on retention, it will apply the default policy right ?

so i read that, adding a retention policy will not deal with previous data, as far as this previous data is not associated to this new policy.

but i just altered the default policy which was already existent and activated the retention

so i guess it's gonna cleanup after restart, am i right ?

i guess doing and rm on old folders it not a good solutions :)

influxdb's website has issues with the floating menu at the top. Titles have a higher z-index so they appear over the links.

I'm wondering about InfluxDB pricing. Is everything free when self-hosted and self-managed? The revenue model is the managed clusters?
