Can anyone point me to more detailed docs on incremental backups? I am trying to design a good backup/restore plan, but I feel I am missing some information.

i was hoping to craft a query that says "show me firing rates when the setpoint is above 50" for example, but I'm not sure that's possible with this schema, any thoughts?

sandeen: I am not sure how you would tie it together. You would be much better off finding a way to collect two fields per point in time. 'setpoint' and 'firing-rate'

Then the query would be trivial.

m82labs, yeah, I didn't realize that collectd did this

I was trying to do subqueries to group each by time on 1m boundaries to combine them but haven't figured it out yet

sadly I have a year+ of historical data in this form

maybe a cq could resample them onto matching timestamps
