I can't seem to get my statsd+telegraf metrics grouped under the same series in influxdb

doing things like: increment('foo.bar', 1); and increment('foo.baz', 1) shows up as two separate series foo_bar and foo_baz each with a field 'value', instead of a series foo with two fields 'bar' and 'baz'

I see, I need a telegraf template...

this feels like a brittle hack though :\

I guess statsd doesnt map well to influxdb?
