hey there ...need some help with kapacitor tick script

my data is a list.. How can i access a list in tick script

im having a little trouble structuring my data

i have two tags - a name and a date as well as a value

i want to be able to do greater and less on the date tag

this doesnt seem to work?

query running on the command line shows nothing

but inside the influx shell shows output

influx -execute 'select * from x where x = "x";' -database 'x' -username 'x' -password 'x' -format csv -host 'localhost' -precision 'rfc3339'

whats wrong here?

i'd like to write the output of a query to file

I have a database with no RPs/CQs and it's... growing large

if I want to do aggregation of old data, I will need to manually run queries to do it on existing data, right?

IIRC CQs only run on new data

so if I add a CQ to aggregate, and a RP to delete old data, it will just delete all old data now and do the aggregation on data inserted from now on, is that correct?

how do i find out how much disk space influx is using?

du -hs /var/lib/influxdb
