how do i get the time of the max value in influx?

it works fine when I don't use group by, but group by completely messes it up

hi guys. I've been playing with InfluDB last days. From what I've seen the only way to get data points is to make HTTP requests (UDP is write-only). Am I right or is there any binary protocol I am missing?

high_heisenberg: influx client can do that too (but I guess it works on http)

anettu: yes, the official python client relies on HTTP to issue queries...but it does support UDP to write points

I'm getting some confusing results, and I think they might be because I have a field name that is both a data field and a tag name?

I can't select or group by the field, it always looks blank, but if I select * I see it, and I see it in the tag list if I 'show series'

no, its not a field, its just a tag, but its always blank when I select or group by it, but looks normal in select * or show series
