How can I see retention policy for a previously created database?

tapoxi, I haven't tried yet but I've planned to check it out this week. I'm actually just looking to install the latest 0.9 RC right now to test and code some changes to influxdb-python.

With influxdb 0.9 RC7, http://localhost:8086/ just answers 404 not found. Any idea why?

Is there any specific config that 0.9 needs but not 0.8? I've done a fresh install of 0.9 after removing 0.8 and can't seem to create a database. The request just hangs. Any thoughts?
