Hello, I have some very old data in db/shard_db

directory on 0.7.2. Would influxdb still run if I remove the old

directories?

Hydan, i know you can drop shards from the admin interface in the 0.8.x series

but I can't answer that

it would be good, I think, to discourage columnar schema designs very loudly in Influx's docs

a columnar schema design? you mean a schema that uses additional columns?

a design that encourages WHERE myarbitrarycolumn = blah

the keyspace needs to be flattened out and that type of arbitrary attribute data moved into the key, I've just figured out

going through a very painful migration now :(
