<kevingallagher> hi all. just had a question for any devs around. this is purely hypothetical and potentially crazy due to the investment in the existing API, but is there any part of 'h' that could be ported over to Cloudflare Workers (JavaScript)? https://www.cloudflare.com/products/cloudflare-...

      • <robertknight> So this is basically server-side Service Workers? It is useful to know that is available as an option. None of the use cases described on that page are things that we have a super-strong need for right now.

      • <brandy.stub> any devs around?
      • <segdeha> @brandy.stub Please ask your question(s) and we’ll respond when we can (and maybe even another member of the community will beat us to it!)
      • <brandy.stub> @segdeha ok no problem, I'm currently looking at the login function in services/oauth-auth.js and the authorize function in util/oauth-client.js that it calls, and I'm wondering how I can skip the auth popup window (i.e. having the same effect as automatically triggering the onclick event for the "Allow" button)
      • <segdeha> @robertknight is the best person to ask about that as he implemented the OAuth flow in the client
      • <brandy.stub> @segdeha ok thanks
      • <brandy.stub> @robertknight any idea robert?
      • <robertknight> Mark the client as “Trusted” in the OAuth client configuration in the service. For the public Hypothesis service, we will only do this for our official clients. If you are running h yourself you can do it for any clients that you have created.
      • <robertknight> This has to be a service-side parameter because the whole point of OAuth is that the user gives approval for some application to access their data on some service.
