retros in particular are just fucking hard to do remotely

but i'd rather do a difficult and half-effective retrospective remotely than none at all

anyway, as you say, I think it's about help

in this scenario each of us has a hat to wear, and (hopefully) doesn't have to juggle it too vigorously with other competing hats

fwiw as a developer I also hated process -- retrospectives and sprint planning, and standups and blah blah blah

but I eventually worked out that what I hated more was working in a team without those things

because they never seemed to work...
