woah: I think about how to have annotation as part of HTML Editing

but I don't know what brackets is like so I don't know if that's an answer

oh it's just a text editor written in html

so conceivably integration would be easy

but I mean I've been thinking about wanting something like "document.execCommand('annotate', true, 'selection')"

which would be my ideal way for brackets to respond to a UI button to comment on a line or something

and then hypothesis (or your browser) handles that command

also.. this is on a tangent, but if i wanted to put annotation in an app i wouldn't use h because it would not align with the app's visual design, it's interaction design, or its code for that matter

it's not all published yet but the modules are starting to appear in the hypothesis org

and annotator 2.0 is getting closer

annotator 2.0 stays out of your way so you can make whatever UI you want
