_smf_: I'm trying to move from a qmail setup but keep procmail. I seem to recall you've talked about using procmail as an lmtp server in the past? It seems to just listen on stdin/out not a port - do you run it with xinetd or something like that? Trying to find config to run it as a server is proving fruitless.

baudehlo: When I tried this - I ran "procmail -z" via xinetd on localhost TCP port 24.

IIRC - I had to build procmail myself as most of the packages I found didn't compile in LMTP support, so running procmail -z would return "procmail: LMTP support not enabled in this binary"

Once I'd got it running through xinetd - it was pretty hook up to Haraka; however it would accept-then-bounce invalid recipients which was less than ideal.

Any chance you have your xinetd recipe still around?
