I've got a nice juicy lock assertion failure, is there anyone on here who can advise?

Anyone here able to help with a mutex assertion failure?

I'm getting a hang with the Go bindings. It happens when the server side of a client stream request returns an error without reading all the messages out of the input stream

is that a documented behavior?

What could it be that is causing a “invalid mem addr or nil pointer dereference” panic on https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/blob/master/cal... ?

I’ve pinned it down to only occur when I have `var grpcConn *grpc.ClientConn` defined as a global in package (main) and using it to create a grpc.Client on demand.

(on demand inside a http request handler)

When I, instead, define the var in the handler’s struct, and set it in main(), it works just fine. No panics.

hey there! i've just (re-)opened https://github.com/grpc/grpc-go/issues/391 but there is one thing that i do not understand...

apparently there is a problem in grpc.NewClientStream when there is no corresponding server, but why would grpc.Dial a nil err if there is no server in the first place?
