we're in the middle of integrating the grpc communication between our java server and obj-c client, going great so far

Excellent.

the only eye-sore is that I can't set any deadlines on the obj-c side, I haven't found the option or it hasn't been done yet (found an issue about that)

but for now, testing purposes and all that, it's enough

on another front there's the grpc-nano side, still hacking away on that

java-nano I mean :P

There's nothing that's part of the C++ right now that provides information about the underlying TCP connection, is there?

there are plans to expose peer information

ejona: i had it on my top list of things to evaluate since it got released. and i'm far beyond impressed.

the http/2 decision is awesome and the oauth2 support (which i haven't yet tested) seem amazing.

For my own benefit, what language are you interested in?

HTTP/2 was very important. I think we are all pretty happy with how HTTP/2 has worked out.
